Finding Peace in October Walks and Autumn Hues

F

On the final Saturday of October, I decided it was time to step out of my routine and enjoy some of nature’s beauty. Nyman’s was the perfect escape. The landscape, refreshed by recent downpours, smelled crisp and alive, and autumn’s colours were at their peak. As I wandered through the grounds, the scent of wet earth mingled with vivid reds, oranges, and yellows shimmering in the sunlight.

Walking the quiet paths, I found myself captivated by the plants in their seeding phase, each one a reminder of nature’s endless rhythm. For someone who had recently spent countless hours indoors, this immersion in the outdoors was truly rejuvenating. The physical movement and the serene atmosphere of the garden provided a welcome calm, bringing a much-needed sense of balance to my busy life.

The longer I explored Nyman’s, the more I felt the true gift of stepping away: not just leaving work behind but allowing my spirit to soak in the peace and beauty around me. These simple moments remind me of what restores us, and why it’s important to find tranquillity amidst life’s busyness. I plan to embrace more weekends that bring back a sense of calm and enjoyment.
