Today, I made a delicious Mango Matcha Smoothie. It was the first time I’d made this recipe using a new brand of matcha green tea. It’s called Matcha Smartea, and it’s certified organic and vegan-friendly too!
I didn’t get the ingredient mix quite right on my first attempt. But as it turned out, this smoothie tasted delicious anyway. But hey, mangos always taste so damn good!!
However, I did have to add more oat milk to get the consistency right to be a drink and not dessert thickness. I had thought that one cup of oat milk would be enough with the ice, but I was wrong. So kept adding more milk until I arrived at the right liquid consistency. No complaints though as one glass became two!
I also added a teaspoon of raw honey to counteract the slight bitterness of the organic greens, but that was a personal preference. I think most people wouldn’t even notice the difference as mangos add a lot of sweetness on their own.
The Mango Matcha Smoothie recipe kind of went as follows:
1 frozen mango, sliced or chunks
1 frozen banana for added creaminess
1 heaped teaspoon of organic matcha green tea
2 teaspoons of organic daily greens (Banana, Baobab, Lucuma, Cracked Cell Wall Chlorella, Quinoa, Matcha Green Tea, Apple, Kale, Spinach, Broccoli, spirulina)
1 lime, juiced
1 glass of oat milk
Ice.
Blend all together, serve, and enjoy!

I will be making this Mango Matcha Smoothie again. Next time, I will try adding more matcha green tea to make a more intense flavour.
If you want to buy the Organic Matcha Smartea visit the online store. This is one of the best tasting matcha’s I’ve ever tried.
