Every Network Marketer and business owner should be aware of the power that a personal brand can bring to your income goals.
From my own experience, creating a personal brand was probably one of the wisest decisions I made for building my network marketing business. Not only does is bring in a steady flow of customers and leads, but it also generates multiple streams of income while I sleep.
So briefly, what is a personal brand?
Personal branding is marketing yourself. It’s important to market everything associated with your business, and that also includes YOU. Many people will buy from you because of who you are and not just because of what you’re offering.
It’s a well-known fact in direct sales and network marketing that people like to buy from those they know, like, and trust.
Even if a prospect is excited about what your product can do for him or her, much of their decision is about you.
So let’s see how you can make yourself more ‘attractive’ to your target audience.
1. Your Image Starts With An Image
A personal brand is not just about putting your name or using a ‘selfie’ photo on everything you do. You need to decide on what kind of image you want to present. It should truly be you, but it should focus on integrity and your strengths. How do you want potential customer’s and distributors to view you?
The biggest misconception when it comes to personal branding is that the focus should be all about you.
2. Get Yourself Noticed

3. Become An Expert On Something
For example, become known as the expert on attraction marketing, building an email list, lead generation on Pinterest, building a tribe with podcasts or on how to build a strong team. It’s easier to become an expert on one thing than on ten.
The funny thing is, once you’re considered to be an expert on one aspect of Network Marketing, you’re assumed to be an expert on everything related to Network Marketing.
4. Be Part Of Your Community
Volunteer. Join your local chamber of commerce or become a moderator for an online group in your niche. Find something worthwhile to be part of and contribute your time. Not only are you being a good person, but you’re also getting your personal brand out there in a very positive way. This makes for great material to put on your blog, for use in social media or your email updates.
If you can’t sell yourself, it’s very difficult to sell your products. So work on your personal branding and make it part of your daily life. Consider every interaction that you have to be an opportunity to present yourself in a way that is consistent with the image you want to project.
If you can’t sell yourself, it’s very difficult to sell your products.
Get out in your community and spread the good word (tactfully) about how great you and your business really are. It’s not just about marketing your products or company; it’s about marketing yourself, too. Give your image a lot of thought; it really is critical to your success.
When your personal brand improves, so do your sales, and your business and team grow as a result!
